It may not seem important to choose a theme for a 50th birthday party... but it is! Usually when we plan a wedding or baby shower... or a kids birthday party... we always have a theme. But, it's so important for any well thought out party plan, to have a theme. Why? Because... it just adds to the "flavor" of the occasion. • Tie Dye Theme. Everyone wears something in tie-dye or similar patterns. The food can be easy, buffet style. But really play up the theme with table decorations, serving platters and party favors.

• Favorite color theme. We already covered this... but if everyone is dressed in the same color... it really makes a splash! Don't try to put the color as the emphasis for the food, but use the color as the theme for serving platters, party favors and table decorations. Balloons are always an inexpensive way to add color to a party atmosphere.
